For a long time I had been very sceptical about old zoom lenses. Only recently I acquired a Tamron SP 35-210mm f3.5-4.2 lens and I was pleasantly surprised! Built quality is excellent and the picture quality really good even on full frame. The lens features a macro setting as well, which a very welcome bonus, although the focusing is not that easy.
Please find below some test shots - it illustrates that the lens has a very good contrast and is reasonably sharp:

Lovely samples with great colours Smile

I have this lens too although I've only used it once:

Problem for is that it is sooo heavy for a walkaround lens Laughing

Thanks for your feedback Smile
I had a look at your post - very nice pictures and you seem to have the same conclusion. I think the weight is actually quite alright for a zoom lens of this range. I think that Tamron did a good job in making it quite compact; it is a bit shorter than the 70-210mm 3.5 SP lens actually. For travelling a fine wide angle lens and this lens make a good combination.

I just had a look at adaptall-2.org and they mention the #01F can be used with this lens.
