I think this lens made only with M39 SLR mount I don't remember for anyone with M42 mount. I did make quick look on Ebay and found only M39 SLR lens+M39->M42 ring on them.

I thought i'd seen some on ebay.... but that's no proof...

And my short research had me beleive that:

LZOS (Lytkarinski Zavod Optitcheskogo Stekla)
and
ZOMZ (Zagorsk Optical Mechanical Zagorsk)

Both made some m42 JUPITER 11 4/135 "black" and "silver"

I was also led to beleive that ZOMZ made some for
KMZ (Krasnogorski Mekhanicheskii Zavod)

But i can't prove those assertions....

It exists. I have one. They are thicker than the M39 versions, and they have a extra preset ring for the aperture blades.

Here they are:

That's a good question..... never compared them! The M39 version I used with a simple converter ring to M42, and then on the adapter to Sony A. That way it did not align with my camera, the marks were not on top, so to say.

The M42 version has the open/close ring for the pre-set aperture, and that is a nice extra when you use it on digital. Preset the aperture, focus wide open, close and fire!

If there are any differences optically, the 2 should be compared directly by making the same shots of the same objects to see it.

I'd like some better weather for that.... Wink but it is a challenge!

I just bought one. It has the KOMZ logo, and s/n is 6809709. Coating reflex is purple, and the name plate is Cyrillic, while the Made in USSR engraving on the barrel is roman.
I don't know if I'm going to keep it, I will have to try it against my other 135s.
If you still want one and I decide not to keep it I'll let you know.
