Hello,
I'm looking for a compact zoom in M42 mount (second way in nikon mount) to use on Samsung NX100. With focal lenght between 40/50mm and 100/120mm.
Ideas?

That is a pretty uncommon focal length range for compact sized lenses.
Most of the lenses will be quite sizable and heavy in this focal range as far as I know.
I checked some Tamron Adaptall-2 lenses on adaptall-2.org (which are some of the more modern ones with generally decent performance and can be found frequently with m42 and nikon adapters),
however most of these are 28~35-135mm and about 10 to 11 cm long, still without an adapter to NX mount.
A native Samsung 50-200mm with stabilization and AF is definitely more compact, a lot lighter (and possibly optically better as well).
Have you considered this one?
Also do you have any other specs like cost/aperture/brand preference?

try nikkor zoom 35mm-105mm / 3.5-4.5.
it's compact, sharp, and has macro option

Also have a look at Tamrom adaptall bbar 35-70 with constant f3.5 and macro. generally considered to be a very good performer. I have one for my nx100 and its great

the cheapest and lightest i know is Nikon 28 - 100mm a kit zoom lens
i have the Nikon 35 - 105 suggested by WolverineX - a lot heavier than the plastic lens above
nearest to your focal length comes my M 42 Soligor 37 - 105 f 3.5 (+ macro option...extending rear part of the lens ), it is available under some brands and some other people here have it - very heavy metal
there is also a nikon 50 - 150, an expensive lens - and if you might live with 70 - 150mm, the nikkor E series is a perfect lens on a good price basis

it's not that heavy to be difficult to carry and use

I don't know any really good zoom lens with M42 mount , Tamron SP zooms are good ones some of them like 35-80mm f2.8 good as prime. I think look for Nikons, surelly better than most M42 zooms.

i didn´t want to express that the 35 - 105 is an unusable lens - i like it. If you mount it onto a small cam its weight is to be considered much more than on a SLR

masses ( first 3 nikon ):
F 3.5 - 5.6 28 - 100 mm 195gr
F 3.5 - 5.6 28 - 200 mm 555gr
F 3.5 - 4.5 35 - 105 mm 510gr

F 3.5 37 - 105 mm 780gr ( Soligor)

Not buy lenses to your existing adapters, adapters are cheap , buy best lens what you can buy for your money. Konica zooms are excellent and they go for peanuts...

My favorite in that neighborhood is an M42 Sears-Tokina 55-135/3.5 (680g).
My not-favorite in that vicinity is a N/AI Tokina RMC 35-135/3.5-4.5 (470g).
If you have more money to spend, try a Takumar Zoom 45-125/4 (610g).
If you have less money on hand, consider a Sigma-XQ 39-80/3.5 (450g).
On second thought, forget the M42 Sigma. It's likely not good enough.

Thank you people.
I prefer a most compact possible zoom. From 40/50mm to...
Weight isn't a problem, length yes.
What do you think about Pentax m 40-80?

Sigma Zoom Master 2.8-4/35-70 is not too bad.

It's 65mm long @ 70mm FL and 85mm long at 35mm FL with a 52mm filter thread.

Had one on a Praktica BC-1 for twenty years and rarely took it off.

it has a rather poor reputation.
The f4/45-105 that comes in M42 as Takumar or as Pentax K lens in K mount has much better reputation, but I am afraid it is not a compact lens. see the impressive samples here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/hin_man/sets/72157604387521976/

Then I won't recommend the Schneider Betavaron 50-125/4-5.6.

Mine was not great. Mostly it was worn out, super-loose mechanically. But the optics never satisfied either.
