I see a nice pic, but with a bit of green CA. I recognice the chinon colors in it, but i have found something rare in the pic and I don't know how explain it. Have you any pic one of flowers, person or something like this?

Rino.

PD: The chinon 200 previous to the yellow "AUTO CHINON", in white letters, didn't be more saturated colors ?

At F/ 8 a lot better.

Now it's very nice

Chinon lenses are carefully selected good ones, all are come from best third party Japanese makers as above samples shows clearly I have very good experience with them.

The lens arrived today. First impressions are good - it's in near mint condition so probably hasn't been used much. Also, it's heavier than I expected but then I like to know I'm holding a lens and not just a piece of plastic. Firstly, here is the lens:

Next, the first shot I've taken with it. Wide open at f3.5 and closest focusing distance of 2.70M Shocked

That looks like mine but with a different grip.

There is a seller with a chinon tomioka 2,8/100. Perhaps it can be good too.

Can you give a link to this lens?

No. I saw the lens today morning. It has a lot of fungus. Not sell by the net.

I don't at the moment. I'll take some soon and post them here for you.

It's not the most artistic photo but they are flowers as requested.
Taken on an EOS10D at f8 handheld.

Thanks Edgar, very much.

Nice flower pic. Good colors and composition.

Very good resolution. Lower to neutral contrast or overexposed a bit (perhaps the very clear background may overexpose the pic).

Rino.

What do you mean by "I have found something rare in the pic."
Thanks Rino

Using my bad english I explained badly that perhaps the clear background seems too clear because the exposed necesary to the plant is too high to that background and is overexposed. And that can traslated as general appearance of overxposed, but actually the plant is well exposed.

I found the first pics of the tower, low in contrast but was taken wide open, well all the chinon 200 seem to be a bit lower contrast lenses used in this way. The "rare thing" dessapear when I watced the same taken with F/8.

The pics are very nice, endeed. I like them.

Rino.

I am looking at a lens of this style with the leatherette grip. Serial number starts with 107, so looks to be early production. All white lettering. Any opinions on this version of the lens vs. later ones? Can you advise an appropriate price?

Woodrim - It should be less than 30gbp. I think mine was around 20 and came with a 50mm Pentacon and a Praktica.

Mine has AUTO CHINON in orange.

Okay, so maybe between $45 and $50. There will probably be no bargain to be had, so I'll probably pass. Besides, I've already got the Series 1 200mm lens.

I find myself using the Pentacon 200mm (big brother of the bokeh monster) more than the Chinon. It's sharper than the chinon wide open but down a stop they're equal.
