Thanks for sharing these. I actually just bought one of these lenses on ebay and am eagerly anticipating it's arrival. It seems you like to take pictures of flowers, much like myself, and now i'm anticipating the lens even more.
Some of the bokeh is really nice. How does this lens perform on landscapes at infinity? _________________ 500D / SPII / FTn / Contax D / 137MA / Contaflex

Very nice work JC. Great compositions and bokeh. I went with the Volna-9 which I think is a brilliant lens,
but you've got me thinking that I could have saved some money!
Nice lens collection too. |

I've been thinking about getting the INDUSTAR 61 for a while. It's funny that the prices in eBay range from US$55 - US$115. Have you bought from a good buyer? Grateful your insights. _________________ Wilson

I had heard about the lens, but when I got mine (all beat up) I didn't think much of it. It seems like two flimsy pieces of glass an a bit o metal tubing around. One of my smallest lenses.
Can't complain about the quality though.

Nice pictures.
I got one locally last week for 25 euros, in perfect shape apart from a minor ding to the filter ring. Still trying to find a use for it though, as it's slower than my other 50s. I'll probably swap it for something else sooner or later, as what I'd really like to try is a Volna-9. |

I found one attached to a Zenit E so I picked mine up for very little. It's an ok lens but I wouldn't pay a lot for it. _________________ Casual attendance these days |

Well...I must say that I don't know a single lens which doesn't perform on landscapes at infinity, (even if you have to stop-down a little).
Flowers are very good subjects for testing ; I just pay some attention to the light. _________________ "Plonger les choses dans la lumière, c'est les plonger dans l'infini" Léonard De Vinci

The cost of this lens was 2.5 €. My cheapest lens (without shipping) is also my favorite (one of). It won't leave my Camera Bag, anyway. My taste.
Of course, I hope I'll get a Volna-9 one of these days. But for painting the light, I think this Industar a...Star (like its iris, by the way : check http://t.hacquard.free.fr/site1/industar_61_en.html ). _________________ "Plonger les choses dans la lumière, c'est les plonger dans l'infini" Léonard De Vinci
