May I suggest Zuiko 100mm f/2.8 and Zuiko 135mm f/3.5?

Zuiko 100mm f/2.8 is my latest Zuiko purchase and I am thrilled with it.
Razor-sharp @ f/4, very compact design and with the known Olympus quality with butter smooth focus mechanism.

I also suggest Zuiko 135mm f/3.5 because all my copies have been sharp wide open with very well controlled CA (unlike Zuiko 135 f/2.8 ) and can be found very cheap. Longer (but still compact and lightweight) than Zuiko 100mm but a very good lens overall that has provided me a trusty alternative to my AF Zuiko 40-150mm.

Hmmmm...

Thanks again for all the opinions and ideas.

Right now, I feel mostly drawn towards the

. Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 90mm F3,5 (M39)
. Carl Zeiss Sonnar 85mm F2,8 (Contax)
. Carl Zeiss Sonnar 90mm F2,8 (Contax G)
. Carl Zeiss Sonnar 100mm F3,5 (Contax)
. Carl Zeiss Sonnar 135mm F2,8 HFT (QBM)
. Micro-Nikkor 105mm F4

I´m pretty unsure between these. Some pros and cons concerning these lenses?

Best regards,

Benedikt

If you think about the size then you have only 2 left to choose from Wink

. Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 90mm F3,5 (M39)
. Carl Zeiss Sonnar 90mm F2,8 (Contax G)

I'd reconsider this lens:

. Carl Zeiss Sonnar 2.8/85mm (QBM)

(you can get under these brands too - Rollei Sonnar 2.8/85 and Voigtländer Color-Dynarex 2.8/85)

It's my sharpest portrait lens and is tiny, even smaller than many 50mm primes.

You could try a Nikkor 105mm K version:

Or a Vivitar T4 105mm:

Or a Nikon Series E 100mm:

Or a Nikkor 85mm f1.8:

Or the maligned Nikkor 135mm f3.5 Ai:

Well, the Vivitar looks very nice, and the Nikkor 85mm F1,8 is something I already own (AF version).

But I have decided: Today, I acquired a Zeiss Sonnar Contax G 90mm F2,8 for 175,-€, and I ordered the Contax G / NEX adapter.

I am really looking forward to it. The deciding factors were the size and the sharpness I always read about and which I feel proved by the samples I found and saw here.

Now I´m waiting for the postman...

I´ll keep you updated!

Best regards,

Benedikt

Look forward to seeing samples from that Contax, I just bought a Mamiya 1.8/75 so be interesting to compare as I want the mamiya as a compact short tele for the NEX.

I was just about to recommend the C/Y Sonnar 85/2.8, which is a great lens... but you've made the right choice, the 90mm Sonnar is just as nice - or better!

I was also considering that one, but in some way, the NEX can play its size advantage pretty well with rangefinder lenses.

What I didn't know is that I will have to focus by using the adapter, since the lens is AF only Shocked
Does anyone have experience with this?
