Hello fellow shooters!
I am looking to buy a Lens Turbo or Focal reducer (whatever name) for my NEX camera.
It has to be a Minolta MD version, because i own a lot of MD/SR lenses and i have the Minolta P and E adapter ring for M42 and Exakta lenses. So this will give me the option to use most of my manual lenses.
I have been looking here for more info and seen a lot of different versions or brands on ebay.
Now the quetsion is: which one is the best???
I hope somebody here can shine a little light on my search for a good adapter!
Thanks in advance, looking forward to experiences and advice! _________________ My Flickr photostream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/chantalrene/

I bought the Roxsen one for £56 posted and i think it is very good, with my Minolta glass i did post some samples with the 50mm F1.4PG, I have also shot with the 35mm F2.8 and the 28mm F3.5 all producing very good results.
my post got no comments so i am not sure if people did not like it or just never bothered, judge for yourself.
I have a lot of indoor portraits of the baby i have done with it and satified its sharp
Hopefully today i will have three more Minolta lenses and a X700 delivered that i purchased
So the 50mm F1.7
the 135 F3.5 and
a Cimko made super paragon 28mm F2.8

I have a Zhongyi version for my Minolta lenses and its great. With that extra stop you get, you can afford to go down a stop ti improve the sharpness.
I'm happy with mine.
It being a Minolta mount means I can use my M42's on it via an adapter so it gets double use. _________________ Hero in the 'messin-with-cameras-for-the-hell-of-it department'. Official. |

If you get the ZhongYi version (that was my choice) make sure to get the one marked "Lens Turbo II" on the barrel. It has a different design and doesn't suffer from the "blue dot" issue of the original. I also feel its a bit sharper...

eddieitman, its always hard to critically judge sharpness based upon web-size images (a couple of 100% crops might help), but I think your images look very nice!

I've got a Mitakon Lens Turbo II for M42 mount and a Mitakon Lens Turbo for C/Y.
Never had a blue dot, but version II indeed feels sharper. _________________ Powered by Sony A7ii, Canonet QL17 G-III, Konica Hexar RF and:

Did anyone make a side-by-side comparison of no-name/Roxsen focal reducer to Zhongyi lens turbo II? Roxsen is only about 80 USD, Lens turbo II is 160 USD, not a small difference...
