Bought a camera 'surprise box" today that contained a couple of nice lenses. Among them is a Zuiko 50:1.4.
I was initially planning to resell it, because i don't have an OM adapter, but i found out this is a late version lens (s/n > 1.100.000). It may be worth buying an adapter after all. Any experiences with this late version 50/1.4?

Till I know, there are two views.

1- The last is the best. So, for them, the >1.100.000 will give the better MC and colors and contrast. With better resolution power at wide open.

2-The last doesn't have the touch of softness at large apertures than the first 1,4/50 has. The first has character and personality, the last is "average" perfect lens.

3- The same for between them versions.

I read both here and in other forums too.

The last can be a better investment.

it should have 'MC' in the name plate or just 'Zuiko'.
It took relatively long time for me to get a late MC version.

It is as good as any 50/1.4. I like it better than the non mc version - better contrast.
About equal compaired to nikon ais 50/1.4, pentax smc K 50/1.4.
