Large Moon Over Seattle

About a month or so ago, there was a moonrise where the moon was full
and also close to Earth. I went to the beach over on Bainbridge Island
to try to get a shot. It was cloudy and windy, but I managed to take a
decent shot before the moon disappeared behind the clouds. I think there
is motion blur, but the wind was at 25mph! Shocked I even put a weight
on the hook under the tripod, but it still was moving.

And, of course, a decision has to be made to "blow out" the moon in order
to show the city lights. So I chose to blow out the moon. Laughing

Nice one ! I love that city Smile
It's sweet how your vantage frames the moon between the towers on Queen Anne hill.
Viewing from my little iPhone the motion blur is there but it does not ruin tge photo.

Great shot!
Seattle is one of my top five favourite cities!!
(Next to New York, London, Rome and Berlin. Oh, I need to include Edinburgh as well. Wink)

Thanks you guys! Seattle IS a very nice city, with a lot of things to do.

But it's the areas near Seattle, such as the mountains and seashores,
and generally clean air, and awesome national parks, that make it such
a great place to live.
