Mounted on an Sony A7s. I'm in the process of making a proper focussing mount for it. The image circle is unfortunately a bit small.
Sharpness is pretty good. field curvature is huge...

Very cool! Would it cover aps-c?

Looks like you removed the rear element to get longer back focus,
but since that rear element also serves as a field flattener, you got
the bent field...not the way to go Wink

Just the retaining ring holding the rear element to give a bit more clearance. No glass was dismembered in the making of this photo.
I think it's the way the lens was designed.

It won't cover APS-C. It would work nicely on a 1" or 16mm sensor though.

Maybe the rear glass element was missing already??
I have the same lens, but not that bent field...

Perhaps you have a different version of the lens? I remember Rodenstock had a few variants of their f/0.75 lenses. TV, XR.

This is what it looks like with the ring attached

If you look through the front element of the lens and move it around a bit, you should see the field curvature i'm talking about.

Might be different indeed Wink

Kllaus, your camera has a smaller sensor? So perhaps you see only the better corrected field?
