I think yes, real. OPC is an optical manufacturing company. Normaly single lenses and such. And nothing for customers, but for the industry. Very different approach to the former Meyer Goerlitz relaunch.

I've read about this in the past. Reformulated = new lens formula and expensive. Old name in name only

I don't think it would be expensive for this reason. Those are very simple, low element count designs.
More complex original Chinese designs with two- to three-fold glass amount often go for 10 times cheaper.

A simple tri-lens Meyer Optic design for a ludicrous €999 has a very fat profit margin baked in.
Pretty sure they can even do the whole "german-built" thing for these money.

But I also suspect that's not going to happen and these lenses will be built by Chinese manufacturers.
The Trioplan prototype previously shown already looks like it has ZY Optics DNA in its construction.

I would prefer the the lens made by the original brand owner like like the new J3+ or new Summaron 28/5.6. These new Meyer lenses just don't look good compared to the original chrome Meyer lenses.
