Really enjoy the color definition (the streaked rust stains of the rail cars),
another superb combo! Nikon Coolscan, right?

Bill mentioned that you might have the Nikon Coolscan. Since I'm
liking the 35mm realm, and using it quite a bit lately...I am wondering
about any opinions about the Coolscan. I don't worry about possibly
re-selling anything like that, I assume it would re-sell quite easily. So,
I'm thinking of trying one out.

The images are gorgeous as usual, Rolf!

I assume that Attila must have some Hexanon lenses as well? Laughing

@ Bill & Larry

That was the reason why I shot this pic. The streaked rust stains at the railway are the kick for this picture.

I always scan my films with Nikon Coolscan 5000 Ed and as you can see the results have a very high quality. I only scan my 6x6 with the V700 because the Coolscan 9000 is very expensive only for this format.

Attila is a great fan of Hexanons too.

Many thanks for your friendly comments.
regards

The quality of your scans with the 5000 beats what CVS can do with the
size files they offer. With the quality of your work, the Coolscan makes
for a nice synergy. Wink

That being said, I'd be happy with even the Coolscan V ED, which is a
model or two lower than the 5000.

Thank you Bill, but it isn´t only the scanner.

I tried a long time to get these results. The scanner is "only" the hardware, there is some PP necessary to tease out the optimum out of the film/slide.

I sold mine (Coolscan V ED) 2 weeks ago... Sad Miss it already! It's so easy to operate, and even the software is quite reasonable for free!

Rolf, I understand completely. I work on the PP just about every day,
trying to improve what I get from my danged flatbed! Laughing

Doug, don't you hate when this happens? I don't see many Coolscans on
ebay, either.
