I made a short comparison of these lenses. I found Konica like lack of contrast or it demand more speed than Pentax
All wide open, same setting; 1/160, ISO 200 Sony NEX

Please give me your opinion...
I'll post another sample later

Hi.

I don't remember the hexanon 1,4/55 lens. Please, have you any image of the lens?

Thanks

Rino

KOnica 1.4 has two verisons EE perhaps single coated and AE multi coated if you have single coated 1.4 and MC coated Pentax result is obvious or Konica 1.4 is full with dust.

A little surprising lack of contrast, indeed .Possibly Attila is right . However it seems not much softer . My 50/1.7 seems softer wide open .

On this page you can see EE single coated lens most common one.

Thanks. I Thought that the lens was 55 mm. Yes, I know the 1,4/57 mm and is very prone to flare as the images show.

But I guess that the flare dessapear a lot in the hexanon 1,4/50 (specially in the post 1981 series), more close in the time to the SMC Pentax 1,4/50, than the hexanon 1,4/57 one

It's very difficult to find a F/1,4 single coated lens that can be near of the flare rendering of almost any multicoated F/1,4 lens of the same focal lengh.

Oops I was wrong its 50/1,4

At first I thought it looks like konica brighter than pentax in same speed.
Maybe my Konica isn't good copy, it's in ugly condition body, but glass seem fine, however there's little fungus inside. My pentax has less fungus too Very Happy
I'll find another copy someday
