This is the cheapest film I can find in Bulgaria. About 2.6$ for one.
CZJ Flektogon 35 2.4 MC

CZJ Pancolar 50 1.8 MC

SMC Pentax FA 50 1.4

SMC Pentax M 85 2.0@4.0

@3.2

@2.8

SMC Pentax M 50 1.7

The "scan" was actually shoot with my digitalSLR Pentax K200D with M42 tube and CZJ Pancolar 50 1.8 MC on F14 with home made holder, the light source was my monitor set to light blue/green color.

the film is very cool, a little like ferrania in saturated colors.

i'm really interested in your 'scan' setup as i am trying to figure out how to do somehong similar. how did you get rid of the orange cast from the negatives? what does your 'homemade' holder solution look like?
thanks
tony

The cast is because of the color of the negative itself. I'm fighting with it with this blue/green color of the light source. After this the only thing I do is reverce the curves in ACR(Adobe Camera Raw) and I get a positive, little correction of the WB and - you have perfect scan.
There are some thing to upgrade about my holder, now it is made entirely from scotch tape and paper, there are some dust problems Smile. I must find away to hold the film more stretched so It wouldn't be necessary to close the Pancolar so much. Must make a light source with stronger light then my monitor(it is an LCD after all...) to have better contrast without correcting it in ACR... There is some stuff to do. But - no time for now.

This is a comparison of Pancolar and macro lens - Industar 61LZ

The holder

I'll post in an hour samples about the light color.

You are getting surprisingly good results from the homemade contraption. What ever works I guess. You can't argue with success.

Here are my first attempts.
The color of the light source are shown in frame. The film is Fuji Pro 160C. The frame is shot with Pentax 16-45, the scan is taken with the Pancolar 50 1.8 MC.
I put the camera on tripod in front of the monitor, put the brightness on 100% and open the color in front of the device. The speed I get is about 15sec exposure for frame on F14-16 of the lens. With this setup I can scan 38 frames for under 40 min. When I put them in ACR I have made a preset for each type of film and correct where it is needed. For about 2 hours I have one film "scanned" Smile.
It is easier then my Nikon Coolscan LS2000 and I don't need to cut the film.
