Some nice shots posted which shows Kodak Gold at it's best when used in duller conditions (just IMO) in the last two shots. I've used Gold many times and don't dislike it, but prefer Fuji Superia 200.

Great set, like them all, and #4 is a definite hanger!

Thanks Katastropho and Attila, too. I was quite pleased with the results from the combination.

I agree. I always get better results with Kodak Gold in dull weather. This is what I mean. (Sorry to hijack!) Basic lab scan.

I quite like the look of Kodak Gold and is 1 of 2 films that I use for colour.

I'm imressed by the sharpness of the scans. Were they scanned at home or lab?

Thanks folks. The scans are from the lab (£3.60 dev and scan to cd). Sometimes they turn out great and once or twice they have been quite mediocre, probably due to expiring chemicals.

The resulting scans give a file size of about 1 MB, and I am sure that is about the same as I used to get from a 3MP P&S digital compact. They are OK printed up to A4 size.

LOL at Maxcastle. We all have good days and bad days, and on these two days I was helped by striking light conditions. The pier shots were low sun coming from a perfect angle. The cloudy lake shots were quite a revelation for me as I struggle to get interest in the sky on heavy overcast days, plus I would have to work very hard to make Lakeland unattractive!
