One of my favorite blogs....Kirk Tuck is a working pro in Austin Texas, who regular shoots older manual focus lenses...over the years he's gone from Canon dSLRs to Olympus Pen to to Sony A6000/Nex7 to Nikon full frame and APC to Panasonic m4/3 back to Olympus OMD-E5 to Sony A7R2. Plus he will show some older work shot on film...

He has high praise for the C/Y Zeiss 50/1.7 on the Sony A7R2:

Also, a few other posts of interest to this community:

Original Olympus Pen 60/1.5 seems to work pretty well on A7R2:

He kinda disqualifies for me using that so famous Pen-FT 1.5/60mm lens (which I like a lot)
and titles it "The enigmatic 50mm lens for Sony A7x", guess precision in his writings were
tucked away Wink

(moved it to Manual Focus lenses as it is not just about one lens)

I think he's probably writing with "tongue in cheek" e.g.The best 50mm lens might actually be the 60mm one . . . (my words, not his). Humour and/or irony in writing can sometimes inadvertently lead to misinterpretation Wink
