just a piece ofoutdated junk or is it somehow useful.
Got it as part of a lot.
Is this a microscope attachment?
an excellent micro lens. a strange adapter.
just crap, or anything else... i have no idea.
Has a t-mount, adapter to nikon onto it.
The lens does not have a focussing mechanism, nor iris. there's not any data on it.
Also don't see anything sharp in my viewfinder.

I am pretty sure it is a microscope adaptor. It is very very similar to one we have at work on an old Pentax. If it is not microscope, it must only be for telescope. |

There's no telling what it's from.
Many long moons ago I used to build microfiche cameras for the devices that shot bank checks.
It looks something like the lenses used in those devices. There are so many, many lens applications that it could be from anything but it does look more industrial than anything else. |

A way to narrow it down is to measure the diameter of the "nose piece" is the narrower of the tubes with the lens in. Most microscopes use either a 23mm or 30mm nosepiece. I will put money on it being for a microscope. This kind replace the ocular lens in the top of the microscope (the lens you look directly into).
Here is one on a EOS camera:
