I've got an early Jupiter 9 in Kiev mount and i want to take it apart and clean it.
The body is very dirty and grease need to be changed as the focusing is very stif.

Also the lens flares so much to an extent it is almost unusable. Stopping down just makes things even worse.
I guess it can benefit from a cleaning of the glass and maybe some black paint on the inside.

This is what i have found so far but it's not complete - i also need to dismantle the lens block

Can someone direct me to a similar tutorial where it is shown how to dismantle the front part too.

Thanks

Removing the front part should just be standard procedure. Take off nameplate. Front element should pop out. Spacer. Element group. The back elements should come off as an entire block.

I think take screw #2 out. Then the chrome portion should unscrew counterclockwise.

OK i have successfully unscrewed also 1, 2 and 3 and removed the black ring and the back lens group.
Still i can't figure out how to remove the front group which is before the aperture.

Seems that the front part ( the shiny one) is made of two pieces but i can't unscrew them.
