... boy, does it look slick. opereates beautifully. hope to have some shots on the forum later this week. no dsl service at home. tech coming tomorrow. then we will format, and hope that cures everything.

in other lens news, the industar 50 "froze up" again this morning in 20F cold. did a more thorough CLA, taking apart the lens/aperture unit despite not having a spanner. there was NO lube within the two collars/bearings on which the aperature ring turns. turned the outer ring until the lube port appeared. a tad of fine firearm grease fixed everything. no more galling. it seems a good little lens but is not meant for TTL metering. the knurled surface of the aperature ring in in front, making it very difficult to turn and watch the meter lights. it is meant for sunny16 or handheld metering.

anyhow, i shot a few pics with it this morning, then when the jup 8 arrived i shot some of the same objects this afternoon, different light angle but close enough on exposures. i will post a comparison when i can get back on line. hope everyone is doing well.

I look forward your result , this is pretty common lens here , but I have no clue about it's quality.

it sure is a neat, smooth little lens. it looks especially jaunty with a leica style vented hood aboard. the chinese-made hood - matte black, aluminum - was borrowed from the a5. it fits 40.5mm filter diameter lens. really good product from a shop in nyc.

I've used the J8 and the I26 on my Fed2. They're but great, but the J8 does not suffer with flare like the I26.
