One of the cheapest setup today...

With simple auto contrast PP and little sharpen works very well.

Excellent series. The humble J8 is one of my very favourite and most frequently used lenses.

Agree with Ian, really like the first three triptych (well, if they were in a row) and the flower pic. Very happy with my 1955 copy of this
lens!

If you're counting the adapter in setup, the M39 version would be cheaper Smile

True that it's great lens

In one lens case yes, cheaper, if you count a lens series, Contax/KIEV adapter financed by lower lens prices. One of the best idea was to have Contax/KIEV adapter to my digital cameras.
