i just received the plate above since i could not fit the plate that came with my tripod head on my NEX without it slipping. i installed it on my camera and it fits nice and tight without slipping but it interferes with the clip-on screen protector. no big deal, i just shaved a bit of the screen protector for some clearance. after that was done, i observe that it still rubs on the bottom of the actual flip up LCD. i suppose that i could shave a bit off of the actual plate but it's a brand new piece and it's $44 worth of aluminum. it's not terrible and it does the job but i wish they would have done more test fitting so that it didn't rub on the LCD at all. i'd still buy it again but i'm just giving you folks a heads-up just in case you were considering it. i'll get some pictures up after work so you folks know exactly what i'm speaking of.
