Hi

Bought an M42 Prakticar Auto f/2.8 35mm from an old chap today.

With my limited knowledge I'd come to assume that Prakticar were German and PB mount, so any ideas what this is?

Just as an aside, he was showing me all his old gear that he'd collected since he was young - a Baby Brownie, a Voigtlander Bessa and a Retinette 1B amongst others. He also had a 135 CZJ which he'd had over 50 years.

Japanese firms did take over DDR brands, they sold their lenses as Exakta , Prakticar etc. I had one in past too, it was quiet avarage.

Half a step up from my Paragon 35mm then!
