Usual short work trip, this time to Istanbul.
What an amazing place! The city is beautiful - slightly reminding me the impact that Rome has -, people are incredibly welcoming and kind, food is delicious. I really need to go back as soon as possible for serious tourism.
Also, it was my first trip out with the sony a7s, which I enjoyed a lot.

The city really deserves some time for a good visit, I hope I'll be able to go back there soon: I didn't have time for a Turkish Bath, for example, which I would have really liked.
Luckily it's not extremely far from here, and cheap flights can be found.

Thanks.
Actually switching from the nex to the a7s was pretty smooth.
The menu is not very good - to be kind - but I'm a long time sony user, so I'm kind of used to that.
There are a couple of little oddities, such as the placement of the movie record button and the extreme sensibility of the viewfinder sensor, but I got used pretty soon.
On the other hand the camera is very well built, and has all the controls I need right under my thumb. Also, the high iso capabilities of the camera make shooting in M mode with auto-iso a very quick and fun semi-automatic shooting mode.

Thanks, 21 is one of my favourite too. It is from the Imperial Harem in Topkapi Palace. Quite impressive place.

Thank you.
I had to bring all of those because I was there mainly to shoot video for a documentary: in the end I shot only with those six lenses, the a7s, a light tripod and a microphone, which is a super-light setup - it can be fit in a mid sized backpack - and I'm really pleased with the quality of the video I recorded. _________________ C&C and editing of my pics are always welcome
