Could someone please tell me if is fungus on the lens? It's a Minolta 50mm f1.4...

Hi, I quoted your post so the images would show up, a new user's first post can't contain pictures (antispam measure).

The bad news is that those little tendrils look like fungus.

The good news is that there isn't much of it, and it's way off to the side, so it shouldn't affect image quality much if at all.

edit - do a forum search for "fungus" and you'll see sample pictures from a wide variety of lenses with differing levels of fungus infection. The results may surprise you!

Those spiderweb-type things around the edge of the lens look like fungus to me.

Easy to deal with so no panic - you'll just have to hope it hasn't damaged the coating Smile
