I want to say my example of Helios 44-2 is extremely sharp at f/2.8 and enough sharp wide open. I like bokeh and colours but this lens has a big problem with contrast in backlight.

3rd shot in the front of the door is a great angle. Really like the way the photo was done.

Nice shots!

I shoot mainly models but usually with af lenses as I'm scared of focus errors.

It wasn't hard at all to get sharp shots. I did around 120 shots 50/50 wide open and f/2.8 and have missed only 10-15 times. Pentax K10d has a good viewfinder and supports focus indication. I have a chinese focusing screen with split circle but it doesn't help much. I think standart focusing screen is enough.
