Funny thing...
I bought a NON Copy version of this lens for 0.99$ which later turned out to be a M39 mount, so I was sad and disapointed because I had bid on another one just like it but it was a COPY lens, so I figured that it was the same mount and it has been sitting with my other lens for a couple days now. Well today while on my 15min break I wanted to see the new lens and try to jerry rig a quick adapter to see if it was a good lens to keep - well as I placed it near my M42 to EF adapter I noticed it was not free floating and was wanting to be screwed in... YAY!
Went to lunch with the whole office and started taking pictures are different F-stops and speeds. I can honestly say this copy lens is INSANE and sharp!
Contrast is awesome and for the size it is as if I'm holding nothing in my hands.
Here are some samples, enjoy. (I will try this weekend to take some professional shots with this lens; as professional as I can.

I'm in love with this little lens, and my g/f just laughs at it - little does she know the quality.
I cannot wait tell I'm off work to go play around. |

I am great fan of this lens also. Amazingly good, especially if we see price/performance ratio LOL _________________ -------------------------------

Yeah the Copy version was $2.99 - I think I made out like a bandit. |

Nice portrait.
What do you mean by COPY and NON-COPY ? I'm interested because I have an example of the lens shown in the photo. _________________ John |

This copy unfortunately focuses over infinity. Central resolution is good, corners are sligtly softer, but the overall impression reminds me Tomioka 55/1.4 - the picture has very live and realistic look. _________________ (almost) complete list of Helios lenses |

I actually think the old M39 silver version I had in the 60s was better than the 50-2 I have now:
