Image quality of Tair 3 Grand prix version

Besides the obvious differences in construction, is there any difference in image quality between the Tair 3 Grand prix version and photosniper or A version. As far I understand Grand prix version is the oldest version of Tair 3. I would expect that the optical formula is the same, but probably coating is better in newer versions.

I suppose if there is any difference, it will be from the current lens. This is what it's like with the Russians!

You can't beat the Tair 300mm for value for money! here's a couple of shots taken with my Canon 550d + Tair 300mm (Photosniper) + Tamron 1.4x Teleconverter.
If the other Tair 300mm are as good as the sniper model then get yourself one!

My not sniper version has lot better contrast than sniper version.

If you can get a MC sniper version that is not overpriced i would say go for that, i have that, and its pretty incredible i rarely use it due to its weight and size but the image quality of this lens is pretty good to me..
