iMac - color correction?

Hi
wondering if anyone had advice. Looking to get a monitor for my photography. Needs to be adjustable color-calibration-wise.

Reason im here, is my local PC shop has a iMac thin screen one with 1TB HDD .

For less than the monitors im looking at (which would be running off a shit budget laptop at the moment anyway!). The iMac is 199 golden coins Wink

Solid M$ Windows user here, so I was curious if I can adjust color on the screen of the iMac?

Any drawbacks to using iMac for photography? Lightroom is my intention, and a Canon Pixma printer

Could be good to get this desktop iMac and just for dedicated to the photography ? Thoughts?

You have to know the model / age of the iMac like = "early 2010" or so?
Also what is the system = "Snow Leopard" etc.

Older macs are difficult to install new software.
