I finally got a 55mm f4.5 SEKOR set for my Mamiya C220 and C330f after waiting years for a 'Good Price' It was just over £112 with postage so I rushed out with C220 to test around Brentwood ! I took a roll of 02/1995 outdated Ilford XP2 400 rated 125ASA -- it came out a bit 'Blotchy' but OK for first Tests. I took one at FULL APERTURE and one Stopped down on some and used a Yellow Filter for the outdoor ones - the CHURCH INTERIORS were all at FULL APERTURE and 1/15th second!
Full Aperture with Yellow Filter
No Filter and f6.3 at 1/60th sec
Full Aperture interior

Excellent work, I like the samples and I like the camera system as well.
The 55mm lens is a gem.

Nice classical images - I really like the calm atmosphere and the "clean" composition!
While I have a few 35mm Mamiya cameras and two or three M645, I never had a C220 or C330. Many moons ago - back in those days when every Swiss village had at least one professional photographer - I got an offer for one, but declined it in favour of bying my very first Minolta 9000

That lens deserves a roll of fresh HP-5+, or old Tx at 320.
Can't speak to the current Tri-x versions- I haven't tried them yet.
Very nice imagery
College bud had both the C-220 and C-330. Very impressive cameras.
He didn't have anything that wide, and even back then lenses were quite steep in price.

I bought that lens together with the camera Mamiya C330 many years ago as a kit.
It is generally not exceptional (they assert that 65mm is much better) but quite decent lens. There is my pictures by it on the Fuji slide film.

Some of the symmetrical wideangles / superwides for the Mamiya 6x9 press camera seem to be ... well: underrated as well

Magical perspective, like the old and eternal large and medium format pictures.

One of my great regrets is selling my 330F professional aten years ago. The 220/330 cameras are superb bits of kit.

Really to say the best 80/2.8 lens was the last one in production. The precising one was only so-so, for my opinion:
