One of the most famous garden centers + nurseries since decades (founded 1905) is HUBEN located at Ladenburg http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ladenburg close to Heidelberg / Germany. Today I went and took some multispectral shots (with their permission of course), here shown in quadriptych form (Visible light, Simulated Bee Vision V2 + V6, UV in the sequence left to right, top to bottom):

#1

#2

#3

#4

#5

#6

#7

I find them very interesting. In most examples, from an aesthetic viewpoint I find the visible light versions most pleasing to my eyes, but in #6, the first bee vision is my preference and in #7 I prefer the UV one.

What camera and lens did you use?

Klaus, another interesting dip into insect vision. I must admit, that by contrast with the others, I find the falre in #2 & #3 quite offputting. Smile Smile

2 and 3 are definitely the weakest, from an artistic point of view they have little merit due to boring subject and composition, but I guess their purpose is more to explore the different spectra than be pretty pictures.

Fascinating stuff Klaus!

I'd be interested to see what a wasps vision of a pint of lager is though, and why they are so interested in it Laughing
