I bought a Beier Precisa 6x6 folder it has double exposure prevention and un-coupled range finder, camera looks near mint.
I got it in fully working order with one little issue , film transport knob did make bad noise, (metal to metal friction) I thought easy to fix it with little grease. Another issue was dirty finder... I did open camera gently and try to re-lube double exposure prevention arm. I thought I did gently cleaned with tissue and compressed air RF mirrors.
Result ? Range finder didn't work any more, viewer was worst than ever and double exposure prevention arm didn't work well any more...
but film advance know did work smoothly. Due double exposure prevention didn't work any more, exposure arm was all time in half pressed mode and it did kill shutter too..
Now I have a fully non working camera with smooth film advance _________________ -------------------------------

Oops. I'm sure it will take 10x the work to sort things out again.
When I got my Super Ikonta, there was a smidge of fungus in the lens. So I figured, how hard can it be? Things came apart easily enough, and the fungus was easy to remove. But when I put things back... OOOPS. There were so many variables: just where I started the front element screw-in (and that was sporadic, whether I could get it to go or not, each time), how the prism gear mated, how the prism elements were aligned, and whether or not the whole damn thing would collimate to infinity at the same time.
I spent so much time cursing my stupidity. Oh and Zeiss used some of the tiniest screws too. I spent some quality time with a magnet trying to find one I dropped. But eventually I got things lined up... only to realize the frame counter / auto stop mechanism isn't working
So I used the ruby window to get... 8 6x6 photos on the roll. Haven't sent it in to be developed yet and it's been over 6 months. _________________ -Jussi
