A technical question:

Does this lens feature only auto aperture, or can you also set it manually?

I have a pentcaon 50/1.8 with auto only, and it is quite annoying...

I also have one sample of the MC Helios 77M-4. Cyrillic lettering, and same front ring as the "helios 77m" and both lenses are made in Vologda factory.
as mine has the same style of the name ring, but also has a Vologda factory symbol.

I also had an MC Helios-77M-4. sharp and good center but strong focus shift and distortion at the corners of my APS-C sensor if I remember correctly.
But that might be sample variation
Here (don't remember aperture but I guess pretty wide open) near infinity on 1.5x APS-C:




I sold mine to an M4/3 user and he was very happy with it.
