HI there..

I got this lens for 6 GBP (incl. delivery)

.. was an auction on ebay: ZENIT for spare parts + lens
2.20 GBP winning bid Smile (mine)

1.pictures - wide open - ISO 320
2.picture - f/8 + flash ...

This is a real gem! I think that this lens has a character of Zeiss!

Due to 6 blades aperture? I don't know but it's really good ...

Helios 44 one of the most underrated lens because Russian and very common. Everybody who have it simple just love it, great lens indeed.

Seems to be a bargain.
It seems that with proper experience and knowledge it's quite possible to by good lenses for next to nothing.
I'm beginning to understand your guys fascination for old lenses.

Great shots as well, although I don't much care for English instant coffee Smile

What a beautiful Portrait!
This lens found a good home aye?
You can use this lens and all M42 with you Contax 167.
Adapters from Ebay sellers are cheap and plentiful.
Maybe you already Know but just to make sure Wink

absolutely Sven! There are too many auctions ZENIT camera with lens (most of them are Helios 44M-4 on it)

great shots and a great lens i have 4 of them from 44m 44m-2 44m-4 they are great lenses and tack sharp wide open.
