My Dad purchased a Helios lens, and I had it shipped to me. So I have it a test drive before handing it over to him. Here is one of the shots from it. Slightly cropped. Seems like a nice sharp lens. I may just have to borrow it once in a while. Cool

That's a 58 not 48 Mark. Laughing

Methinks that image is over-saturated but very sharp.

Not my lens, and I didn't have it here to confirm. Laughing

I did bump up the yellows, as I wanted them to stand out, and, well they do.

Loks quite sharp indeed. Did you use an extension tube?

Thanks. No tubes used. Just then lens at MFD. As mentioned, it is cropped.

BTW, I think it's great that you two share your passion for photography.

I think the unedited shot had incorrect white-ballance (too cold/blue). Correction of white ballance would remove the blue tint and enhance the yellows at once.

You are probably right, as the shot was taken with the filter that my Dad was asking about in this thread, and it was mentioned it would add a blue cast.
