I don't know what mounting version it is. Back focal distance is short. Just sufficient to convert for use on M4/3, not EOS. Resolving power of this lens is very good! Very Happy Very Happy

Nice samples!.
Would you be so kind of putting some pictures of the adapter itself?.
I'm really curious. I've got a couple of Helios 103 and I would like to try one of them in the Pentax-Q...

I removed the chrome rear metal part of the lens first, fitted a rubber ring around the aperture ring and then insert the lens almost completely into a M52-front/M42-rear focusing helicoid. I added another M42/M42 focusing helicoid of suitable length and then adapted the whole set on my G1 (see photos inseries). Smile Smile

... And one can't figure it out that this lens was the "normal" lens for Kiev rangefinder cameras!
Few times in my life i had seen a series of photos with colors like this! Thanks for sharing - and i'll keep on dreaming the day when Sony makes a FF mirror-less camera to try out a lens like this,

Cheers,

Renato

This lens has one of the best resolution from affordable 35mm lenses for sure. I made long distance shoots which is require resolution power and I found to awesome.

I have in route to me: a Helios 103 & one of those Contax helicoid-NEX adapters I found on eBay(for what it would cost me to ship a Keiv to me), I look forward to trying it out, and a few more Contax mount lenses if it all works good.

Kipon sells a new one for $250
http://www.ebay.ca/itm/121001040192?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_3491wt_1456
And I paid about $50 for a hacked together Keiv & NEX mount, it may or may-not work as planned, I'll know better when it arrives.

But my lens costed US$ 23.99 (including postage) only! I better stay DIY using my existing helicoids for adaptation. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes

Don't see only one lens cost, numerous Nikon, Contax, Kiev lens available with this mount and usually lot cheaper than screw mount from same lens.

He is, mostly due to the complexity of the adapter.
