I decided that I finally needed to get a 28mm b/c the only one I have is pretty awful. I've also been wanting to check out a longish mirror lens, so I picked up an SMC Takumar 28/3.5 and a 3M-6A 500/6.3 on ebay this weekend as a late bday present to myself. I know the Tak should be great, but does anyone have thoughts on the latter? I'd been thinking about a 3M-5A 500/8, but I saw this one and thought the 6.3 might be nice. I guess we'll see!
Somehow a dozen other lenses fell into my watch list while I was at it...

3M-6A has a very good reputation, so good I recently purchased one from a fellow forum member and am awaiting its arrival. |

Mine's actually the 14th, but I spent that whole week out and about (and mostly hungover), so I'm just now getting around to finding presents for myself. |

I wish I could speak to the mirror but the Tak 28mm is a fantastic lens! The SMC gives especially good colors for a wide-angle. |

Happy birthday to all that have recent birthdays!!
If the 28mm SMC is anything like the 24mm Super-Tak, I think you'll be happy.
The Russian mirror is a good one. _________________ Casual attendance these days |
