General ebay warning

Perhaps this is not new, but I think it's worth to share.

In the last two months, I have found three hijacked ebay accounts, selling rare/expensive stuff. I informed ebay about my suspicion and they fortunately have stopped the auctions.

Some indications:

- short term auction, between 2 and four days
- member's last activity is more than six months ago
- bad description, lots of spelling errors (stolen images from other auctions)
- item is starting with 1 euro/$ bid
- no answered questions
- no paypal offered

Indication one and two are very important in combination, the "hijackers" are looking for unused ebay accounts, so as not to be discovered.

Hope this helps, let's hunt them down! Twisted Evil
Sandy

Yep Sandy there is quite a lot out there, always teh same pattern, always stolen pictures and "contact me directly via....to Nuy it Now!

I always report these fake auctions to ebay and send it to spam@ebay.com - usually a few hours later these are gone then.

Guys, help to keep ebay clean and report these!!
