Hello all ,

I have a Canon FD 50mm f1.4 from my Dad's A1 , I was experimenting with it with my a6000 when I noticed some white spots on the glass , please see and let me know if its cleanable fungus or separation Smile Shall I be concerned over this infecting my precious SEL24F18 xD ?

I would say it is a lot of dust. With this amount a cleaning would help to get better image contrast.
I do not see structures/lines like they are typical forlens fungus, nor do I see delamination colors.

Welcome here!
That your pictures don´t show is a anti spam measure, I think only for the first post.

Thanks for your feedback , is that haze on the 3rd image on the right side also dust ?

I see no delamination or fungus. My best guess:

Lens was lubed from new with a petroleum-based lubricant. Over the years there has been some evaporation of volatiles and precipitation of same onto interior glass surfaces. There is dust, as well, adhering to the precipitated film.

Lens is good, but would benefit from disassembly and a thorough cleaning and de-greasing. Re-lube with a NON petroleum-based substance.

My father never serviced the lens as far as he could remember , It could be possibly dust and oil debris , I would like to add it has been out of use for at least 10 years ..

The images coming for it are not totally terrible , just a tad softer then I would expect ..

Thanks all , guess it would be a good idea to clean it as I don't have a lens at this range that will produce lots of bokeh easily Smile

Yep, I would also guess grease which has evaporated and cooled down on glass surfaces.
From what I can see...
