as for mf lenses, the sensor works great, IQ wise, with slr lenses. RF lenses are a little tricky and subjective in terms of results. general consensus is they work great with RF lenses from 50mm up, more subjective with wider FLs. one important thing is that the only focus aid is magnification, no focus peeking.
imo, if you get either you should also strongly consider getting the 35/1.4 fuji AF lens as it is universally acclaimed as one of the best IQ lenses ever on any system.

I think you're right Tony.
Fujis are very good quality cameras and lenses and this company has very good R&D department.
Also marketing and management are surprising. It was a real bet to launch the X100.
