Any experience ? Seller who sold me non-working Topcon IC-1 (shutter works at same speed always) will replace it to a Franka Solida III.

No rangefinder but they are sturdily built. The radionar is a fast lens - the fastest on a folder, I believe - but I think that's its only distinction.

I've got the IIL and it is a good solid camera.

I have a soft spot for Franka, as the very first folder my daughter found in the house is a Franka... it set me on the road to 120 film, roll film cameras, vintage folders, and so on.

Attila - it will be interesting to see how you find this lens. Back in the late 1950s here in the UK it was generally looked down on by the photo mags who universally rated it as inferior to just about anything else on a 120 camera. Maybe that was "reviewers' snobbery" though!

Yes, it will be interesting I found very crap folders and superb ones too.

Years ago, I had a postwar Franka Solida III with Rodenstock Trinar. Used it with slide film with very nice results!

Btw: I heard frequently, that the Schneider Radionar is the best 3-glass lens...

I had one of these until recently (I sold it through this forum to Jesito). I found the lens to be quite superb. Maybe you can compare yours to Jesito's? I found the (non-coupled) rangefinder pretty accurate for everything except closer than 2 metres.

Enjoy this camera, it is one of my favourite folders of all time Cool
