whilst in paris we were lucky enough to score tickets to one of the last ballet performances of the season. what a magnificent structure, and the x100 was typically fabulous. note the indoor panorama, kinda funky, but in a cool way. just a great camera. hope you enjoy! comments welcome and encouraged!

pano function hard to do perfectly when you have shaky hands like me!

The building is absolutely massive, but I didn't realise it was so decorated inside. Thanks for sharing.

thank you both for your comments. yes it is a massive and marvelous place, built in the 1820s as i understand. magnificent acoustics, we were in the back, as you can tell. but when the orchestra quieted you could actually hear the dancers breathing! just a fabulous experience that i recommend to anyone who visits paris in season.

frankly, this camera continues to amaze me. the level of depth, detail and color in the high iso shots are what you would expect from a 5dii, not a jacket pocketable p&s (well its quite a much more than that actually, but not technically Laughing ).

thanks attila! yes, this is truly one of the most amazing places ive seen anywhere in the world that was conceived for public enjoyment (as opposed to intended for use by the monarchs). i hope i conveyed the reality and feel of it.

What a symphony of colours and shapes! Wink
Impressive results in such difficult situations of short light.
Thanks for sharing,
