Very nice set Tony.

France and Paris is always worth a journey as your images show very well.

thank you both so much!

rolf: yes, i do love paris, and france in general. they really care about their history and take good care of it. and of course the food, the food the food! on the camera front, i was really amazed at how little, actually how not at all, i missed having different FLs to shoot with. the files from this cam are so good, and it handles different lighting situations so well, PP cropping is really not an issue. one camera one lens was actually very liberating!

lena: thank you for your comments. ive admired your work on the forum; your 'blue samyang 8mms' were quite lovely. we had quite dramatic light quite alot of the time as the weather was overcast most of the time. great for photos, not the best for tourism!

I must say the storm clouds come across very menacing just like if I was there.Did you catch up with anyone from the forum?

thank you both very much!

mo: i appreciate that comment, but most of the credit goes to this amazing camera. its DR is nothing short of spectacular, and i only shoot in jpeg. the info i can pull from both shadows and highlights on a jpeg file is just ridiculous. from my end i did try to accentuate the 'menace' by underexposing up to a full stop. great weather for photography, not the best for tourism, though we managed to eke out a marvelous holiday!

no, i didnt catch up with any forum members. this was an anniversary present trip with my wife, so just focused on that.

Excellent samples, Tony!.

My fav is #2, the details on the clouds and the 3D effect are amazing. It's like being there...

thanks jes. the weather in paris was mostly cloudy--good for photos. i purposely underexposed to accentuate the drama of the sky. my favorite european city. the french take such good care of their history...
