As I am gradually using my film camera('s) more and my digitals less, I am starting to carefully dabble into different types / brands of film. One thing that looks interesting is Flic Film Elektra 100, being apparently respooled Kodak Aerocolor IV (and only 2 euros more than Kodak ColorPlus 200). I do intend to try a roll of that one of these days now that the sun is starting to show itself after a very gray winter here in western Europe.

One question for people with more expertise than I do. Flic Film labels this as ISO 100. But since this is respooled Kodak Aerocolor IV, Kodak's data sheet on it should apply, right? (Ignore the "III" in the title of the PDF, the contents is for "IV"):

If I read that datasheet correctly Kodak has it as ISO 125. I don't know if that would make much of a difference since it is advertised as having a wide exposure latitude, but would anyone care to make a guess as to why Flic Film would put it as 100? Perhaps simply because 100 is a more common number than the perhaps slightly unusual 125? I am curious to hear opinions.

Regards, C.

Ask Flic Film? Speculating, maybe they measured, or 100 could be advertising exaggeration.

there is no practical difference between 100 and 125 color films

Answer from Flic Film, Dave Marshall: "As an aero film the iso is not indicated the same way as other films, however 100 is correct."
