I receently acquired a Carl Zeiss Jena Flektogon 35mm f/2.8 (Exakta mount) - the latest all black version with a minimum focus distance of 0.18m. A very nice lens for macro.

Is that in an aquarium? I need a banana for scale... lol
It's not quite Macro, but it does feel like it's entering that territory, my Canon FD SSC 35/2.8 tilt/shift only goes down to 0.4 meters but it's so sharp it actually feels like a macro when paired with a high resolution camera like my A7r and you zoom in to the image, the level of detail is amazing, flowers actually show cell walls(at least I think that's what I'm seeing), I don't think my Flek35/2.8 has the same resolution but should be able to tease out that detail at 0.18 meters.
I do wish more wide angle lenses had a short MFD like it does, I find the extra short MFD to be so useful for walkabout photography, it permits perspectives not available to other lenses, pair it with 50 & 100mm macro lenses and the kit becomes a very capable system for capturing unique pictures of small subjects and small details.

A 2cm pine tree sapling can look much larger when you are that close, get low and stop down to bring more details to the background will make an interesting and surreal image.

Yes, you are right - this is not strictly macro, just close. I do not think it was even at the closest focus distance of the lens. The largest of the fungi (Amethyst deceiver) is about 3 cm in diameter. I like the colour rendition of the lens.

Thanks!, this was on a Nikon Z7 II.
Below, a slightly better version of the picture:
