Maybe your lens doesn't focus well. Put newspaper on the table and from distance 3feet/1m take a shot from 30 degrees setting only estimate focusing point. Photo has to show one sharp spot. If not your lens has to be adjusted by service. Yes, I can make photos at 1.2 only. Aperture doesn't work other way.

I get a lot of flare if I wide open the lens... I cannot get sharp pictures like yours!!

Can the lens be defected or sample variation Question Rolling Eyes

Not sure, when stopped up works fine, but at 1.2 gives a lot of flare...
Not like the pictures Voytek shows.

I'll be doing some testing tonigth.

Kind regards,
Jes.

Maybe it helps you to figure out what is going on

Usually when I get opportunity to borrow the lens before buying - I do this kind of test. First of all you have be sure that your camera doesn't develop front focus or back focus

My K-mount PORST REFLEX 55/1.2 does flare a bit at the wide open,
but it is not that much in Jesito's example shot. I do not know why.

Sorry for no help. The flare is normally coming from lens spherical
aberration, Jesito's lens might have slight mechanical off of some
lens element since closed down shots look sharp and normal.

The last flare shot looks a shot of "soft focus lens", which normally
shift some lens element purposefully for soft effect, but actuall
object(s) look not to soft only surrounding area becomes "glow"ing.
