Seems to be a capable lens!

It's a big, heavy, lump of a lens....but fabulous. I love mine. But with the dedicated TC it is a lens that likes to be on a sturdy tripod. Like 1 small

Are you not mixing up with the f/3.5? The f/4 is pretty light actually (less than 400 grams I believe)
