I remember scanning some 35mm film on an epson 3200 dpi scanner... after that pulling the size down in photoshop, i ended up with good 2 megapixel results! lol =]

Using a good software makes a world of difference with the Epson v700-v750.
I use Silverfast AI, I tried Vuescan but I it doesn't have digital ICE and its own dust removal system messes my scans. Maybe I wasn't able to use it, but with Silverfast I got superior results.

Btw, Attila, my advice is to buy the v700, v750 just have an antireflex scanning glass and some other minor cosmetics things that in my opinion don't worth the 200 euro you'd have to pay more than the v700.
