These are more for acquainting myself with the new Gossen Digisix
meter. Using Arista 100 (non-Premium) and Biotar 2/58 lens:

caged Toyota

hot bench

move in specials, 1/8sec shutter speed, handheld

shadows and salt

dev'd with HC-110B, 7 mins @20C, Epson 4490 scans

Thanks, had to do a little straightening on the last shot. The Exakta 500
is one of my favorite cameras:

Thanks, Attila, I have two of these cameras now. Should take a pic of
both cams together, or maybe with the VXIIa as well.

Reminds me I still have a roll of Sensia 100 to finish in the VXIIa. Rolling Eyes

Nice shots, Bill.

I love the vert¡cal displacement curtains, a very fine design.

It's curious, mines are labelled "EXA500" and not ""EXAKTA 500" as yours are.

Are them the same camera type?.
From the outside, I would guess that yes...

Regards,
Jes.

Jes, both of mine are considered the premium model of the small-bodied
500 series. They have the black cloth shutter curtains and shutter speeds
(not counting the (B)ulb setting) from 1/2 to 1/500 in 9 steps. To my
understanding, there were some Exa 500's made the same way in
Europe, but some have a simpler shutter with less choices and top
speed of either 1/250 or 1/300.

this camera series does not look ergonomic. but when you get one in your hand, the chunky little thing just feels good. that shutter button location is in a surprisngly good place.

Attila, I'll try to shoot the roll by the weekend, hope for sunnier weather.

Fish4570, I liken the Exakta 500 to the Nash Metropolitan coupe. And it
is surprisingly comfortable to use.

Jes, hope your shutter is the same as mine, good luck!

I love the lattice pattern on the bench.

Looks like the meter works Wink and that EXA is one cool camera... I'm giving up on more cameras for a while, as I have more than I can use on a regular basis.

Jussi, thanks for stopping by. I think the meter is working fine and
agree with you about too many cameras. I need to cut back and keep
just the ones I enjoy using.
