Well the Pancolar has fungus in it... if you remember Atilla..... but is turning out quite nice...

Next project is to clean it... my other lenses should not be at stake...

If fungus not much you can keep it in dry box for year without any trouble. Cleaning always risky business do it only if necessary and you sure you will not make it to worst.
