So I met up with David from this forum last Saturday in Tokyo. It was great fun. We went to Shinjuku, Akihabara, Ueno and Asakusa. Here are a few shots from the day. Film was Efke 50 (my first ever roll) developed in ID-11 stock. Camera was FE with Ai 50/1.4.
Thanks for looking _________________ If you have time, please check out my photography blog from Japan. http://monkeybrainsushi.wordpress.com/ |

Those are fantastic! I was there and I can attest to the ultra-long shutter speeds we needed for most of the shots. I really like the giant lantern shot, but all of them are great. And yes, it was absolutely a blast walking around Tokyo with you for about eight or so hours.
I developed about half my vacation film last night and will do the rest tonight. I hope I can digitize it all Friday and share some shots early next week. _________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/hancockDavidM |

Thanks. I'd have liked a bit more dof on the lantern shot but had to shoot wide open to get a reasonable shutter speed. I'm going to post some from the other roll of film (iso 250 but can't remember the name) later.
I'm looking forward to seeing your film shots. _________________ If you have time, please check out my photography blog from Japan. http://monkeybrainsushi.wordpress.com/ |
